Bart Becks is a board member of the European Innovation Council (EIC), Europe’s flagship program dedicated to identifying and scaling breakthrough technology innovations. Additionally, he is a co-founder and board member of BeCentral and E-Health venture. Over the last years, he served as the Executive Chairman of the EURACTIV Media Network, leading to its recent acquisition by Mediahuis.

Bart is the former CEO of Skynet, where he was for nearly a decade. He was also Chairman of iMinds (now IMEC). Additionally, he has backed multiple startups and incubators, primarily in the domains of SAAS, healthcare, and AI. He’s currently launching a new venture that integrates a focus on artificial intelligence.

Bart, his spouse and their teenage son share a passion for music and sports.
